Can some one tell me if the lights in the footwell should stay on whilst you are driving permantently at night for example

You can change this in settings in the mfd...I think it's settings, lighting and then I think it states footwell lighting or something else obvious...you can make if brighter/dimmer in increments...

I found it really annoying and turned it off after the first time I drove the Scirocco at night.Would be better if they were dimmed LEDS or similar...something not so bright as a bulb in the footwell...BMW do something similar with really small LEDS that emit a really faint orange glow.

I changed mine to red bulbs and then dimmed them down using the dash controls, they now cast a feint glow over the footwell which I like.

I have done that too, but not put them on permanently.

I can understand they come on when you get home and are about to leave the car, but should they be on when you're driving?
