Richard, as Ian says, cruise can be retro-fitted quite easily, it's just the VW dealers didn't have the correct tools to code the modules when I fitted mine so I used VAG-Com to do the coding. the Guys who Shaun suggested are recommended by quite a few people here.

The new Bluetooth module works with all phones now not just the rsap ones of the original module, I had a Fiscon fitted which works very well with the headunit and steering controls. There is a Skoda one which also works as a direct replacement for the original Bluetooth kit. Any decent car audio place can get you up and running pretty quickly.

Hope this helps.

Have you modified the steering column electronics? And what has been done? Thats not a Wk43/09 build.

didnt change anything.
according to roccopedia:
"So a car with 43-4-0125 and Chassis Number WVWzzz13zAV****** was build complete in Wk43 on Thursday in 2009 as a MY2010 Scirocco"

http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/roccop ... ld_Sticker" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

my VIN number is:
WVWZZZ13ZAV43XXXX

Edit:
I see my mistake.

my VIN number is:

Ah makes sense now, 43xxxx was built post 01Feb2010 - to 30Apr2010, not between 19th & 25th October 2009 (Wk43/09).

Re: Retro fit cruise

Post by andyt »

I'm looking to get cruise control retro fitted onto my 60-plate. According to the dealer though, they can't do it because something changed for MY2010 and they don't have the information from VW to do it. Apparently this will be the case with all main dealers and in fact I've now read things on this forum which bear it out. So I'm looking for a third-party fitter (apparently they can do it), in the Manchester area... albeit preferably not Awesome GTi because I had a bad experience with them a few years ago. Suggestions please!

Re: Retrofitted Cruise Control post week 45 (2010) cars only

I am picking up my new Scirocco next week. Dealer tells me that retrofit cruise control is not yet available but they are expecting it in a few weeks.

Since they seem to have been spinning this line for months according to this thread, are they telling porkies?

I am wondering whether its best to go to a third party fitter.

(Cant say I'm confident enough to do it myself)

Some feedback from VW which you may already be aware of sorry if you are. May give a few people hope of a resolution.

Retrofit cruise control kits to be tested for UK release

21 Jun 11

0812-11

Volkswagen AG has made retrofit cruise control kits available for Golf, Golf Plus, Golf Estate, Scirocco, Tiguan and Touran model year 10 onwards.

We have ordered kits for these models, but need to check that they are suitable for right-hand drive vehicles before we can release them to the Network. Once we are happy with the kits, we will confirm part numbers and prices on EPAC and Dialog.

We will confirm when these kits will be available to order soon, along with availability for other models.

We expect high demand, so priority will be given to those customers that have been waiting the longest; please restrict ordering to customer orders only.

Keep checking Desktop for the latest information
08/11 - 12/13 2.0 TSI R DSG, Black / Black Vienna
01/09 - 08/11 2.0 TSI GT DSG, Black / Truffle Vienna

Black is the new Black....

Hi All, I've just spoken to the dealer in Lincoln. Having bought my car in November 10 and paying for CC which it turned out, could not be retro fitted due to technical issues (as per the rest of this thread) the dealer has just informed me that a working solution is now undergoing extensive testing on UK variants. Perhaps a retro fitted solution that doesn't void the warranty is not too far away now. Fingers crossed!

DIY Retro-Fit Cruise to a MY11 - Advice Pls

Post by Nc35 »

Hi All

Wife would like Cruse and parking sensors retro fitting to her new MY11 Rocco...

After a lot of reading there seems to be an "issue" with the newer Rocco's and cruise. Even the local (sh1t) dealer can't give a definitive answer.

So I was wondering if you experts could possibly help please.

Cheers
