Sad Day the Rocco has gone :(

Post by Joloke »

Today is a Sad day

I had to say Goodbye to the Rocco after just 6 Months of Ownership :(

Last year i test drove a Rocco and loved it :D

The Viper was a dream i never imagined in a million years id ever end up with a car like it and what a car!!

However shortly after getting it i began to realise i wasnt getting on with the car finding it hard to get in and out of due to my disablement, hard to park and a bit of a handful for me :(

I finally admitted it to myself and then my partner who was more upset that id kept it to myself to embarased to admit it :(

So today we waved goodbye to "Rory" the Viper Green Rocco and im downsizing to something thats more managable for me

Id just like extend a very warm thank you for everybody here making me feel soo welcome and to say Goodbye

i will miss the Roc and i will never ever forget him,my partner is finding it harder to come to terms with but accepts it's no good hanging onto a car i cannot cope with.

So heres one last Piccy of Rory Gone but never forgotten ;)

Jodie :)

Thanks trix
Everytime i see another Rocco ill always smile they are still and always will be a very beautiful car

Just wasnt meant to be for me :( Though myself and my partner have had a fantastic 6 months with the car ;)
Before it went we discussed the milage just over 6k and realised id only every drivin it myself about 1k and it was really my car as my partners is manual and i cant drive that :( She had done the vast majority of the driving over 4k at least

I still have another Viper in my life though as my partner plays Bass Guitar and had a bass that needed refurbing ;)
She wanted it Viper Green so i stripped it down and ive painted it Viper Green :D
Ive had plenty of practise with paint (well you do when youve owned a classic MINI  ) it's going to take time between coats etc its far from finished but watch this space ;)

The Bass will be a Tribute to Our Viper Rocco so we will never forget him :shake:

awww gutted Jodie,

And I had been looking out for you again incase you were around the Wirral again. Like you say though theres no point having it if it isn't practical for you.

Out of interest what are you replacing it with? Hope it is still something fun.

Hi Doug

was up in Wirral again between 30th May - 3rd June last time in the Roc :(

We are replacing him with a Mini Cooper D its ironic we were looking at a Mini last time but couldnt find an Auto for the test drive and i got cold feet as i didnt want to order something i hadnt test driven

As i was able to get a test in a Rocco i ended up ordering a Roc instead ;)

In one sense weve lost because the Roc has to go  but the Mini's Spec has changed for the better since we were last looking at them

The Auto diesel is now a 2.0 as apposed to a 1.6 and the silver interior bit i was never too keen on are now black :D

We did consider a Cooper SD but i just dont need the power or the attention so gone fror a standard Cooper D with all the toys :p

Ordered it in "Hot Chocolate" with a Black Roof with Chilli Pack added :D

Build Week is 29 commencing 17th July so not too long to wait :D

as were not too far from the Oxford plant dealer says delivery will be just 3 days after its built :D

Hey if im up north and i see you around ill flash you (oo err) so if a little Brown Cooper flashes you its me ;)

Jodie :)

So sorry to hear that your disablement has caused you to send your roc back. when serching for our next car in feb this year it seemed that its more dificult to find a car that ticks all the boxes for the disabled we had settled on a kia pro seed coupe which seemed just about right but having signed on the line a week later found out there was a new facelift coming salesmen for you. forgot to tell us .
so on our next search we came across the mini cooper d and was very impressed bar for the boot size .we then got to vw and went through the golf and polo both nice cars but again set just that bit to high for my wife to get into the seat . you will know what i mean she can not step into a car. so on the off chance they had a scirrocco in she tried it and you just knew it was right for her and mysef. so i think that you have picked the right car as a replacement for the scirocco as that would have been our pick had not that scirocco been in the showroom at that time. all the very best .
