Current delivery times...
Its still a bit of a shock, but earlier this month I ordered mine. (I went to look at a golf to replace my current A3).
The guy in the dealership said there was a 5-6 month wait at the moment, but looking at some of the threads here, it seems closer to 3-4 months? I've to actually still get an estimated build week, so I don't know which one is accurate. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I would perfer it to actually be September, as I'll be a bit more flush money-wise....
Either way, I'm really looking forward to it!

Re: Current delivery times...
Ordered mine last month and was told 5 months (august) but then got a phone call follwing the japanese crisis saying its added about a month to lead times so from order to delivery is 6 months. Id looked at Audi A3's too but they have similar lead time im told and A3 is due to be replaced this year apprently.
Im sure itll be worth the wait for us both though.............

Re: Current delivery times...
Gosh - its getting worse
When I ordered mine nearly 2 years ago I was given a 12 week wait, which later extended to 14 weeks and I thought that was bad.
Clearly VAG have no intention or inclination to reduce the waiting times, regardless of recent incidents in Japan which may have affected the supply of some components.
Good luck with your loooonnng waits.

Re: Current delivery times...
I ordered middle of March and have just been given week 22 scheduled build, although I had to remove the colour MFD to get that.

Re: Current delivery times...
I ordered in the first week of January and have been given a build date of week 22. Allowing another 5 weeks for delivery that would make almost exactly 6 months................and I'm not taking that as gospel.

Re: Current delivery times...
Sounds like the September delivery sounds about right then. I don't mind so much as that was my expectation from the start. Now off to peruse some other posts to see what more I can learn!

Re: Current delivery times...
Seems to be very dependent on dealer allocation....
Some folk ordered late Feb and have their cars now, I ordered late Jan and it's due here in the next couple of weeks.
I was told to expect 6 months when i first ordered though.

Re: Current delivery times...
I ordered mine in the first week of January and it arrived at the dealers last Weds. So you are looking at five months.
It took over a week to get to the dealer from arriving at the british port, which was annoying.
Regards.

Re: Current delivery times...
Ordered at the start of March, Build week 18 (this week), should get it at the end of this month unless the shipping holds things up. Standard 170TDI, nothing special in the options list, just metallic paint, smokers pack (just to tidy the centre console) and parking sensors.
Any components from Japan could be in very short supply, unaware what those components are apart from the colour MFD.
Certain components (unsure of their origin) such as pano sunroof and Xenons seem to come and go in availability, and sometimes add a noticeable chunk to waiting time.
3-4 months seems to be normal unless recent Japanese events are the main cause of delays.
Possible delays on new order 160/1.4TSIs if VAG do drop it in favour of the turbo only 1.8TSI that Audi favour and features in the Passat CC (pure speculation at this point).

Re: Current delivery times...
Originally ordered in March but changed the spec so new order had gone through on the 1st of April. I have included pretty much everything (including the xenons and pano sunroof), except the 12-way adjustable seat (don't need it), coloured MFD (not worth the money), and Bluetooth (planning on getting the Fiscon, or shall I get the VW Bluetooth retrofitted?). Provisional build week 22 so expecting delivery end of June, start of July ish.maisbitt wrote:Certain components (unsure of their origin) such as pano sunroof and Xenons seem to come and go in availability, and sometimes add a noticeable chunk to waiting time.

Re: Current delivery times...
Called in on dealer this week where he told me the good news that the build week had been brought forward to week 21. Still looking like end of June beginning July.
Called into the dealer because I was in Kwik Fit, opposite, to have two new tyres fitted to my Volvo.

Re: Current delivery times...
Well 3 months with no update so decided to pay a visit to the dealer yesterday and guess what status has changed from “P” to “V”, but no build week yet, how long before i get a build week?
While i was there I decided to upgrade the spec from the GT 140 BMT to the GT 170 adding DAB and Dynaudio.
I expressed my disappointment over the long wait and that the current car was costing me a small fortune at the mo, so they revised the offer for the part x and the end result was just another £7 a month on finance
They also suggested they may be a relief car available, but not sure how that works?

Re: Current delivery times...
I have just orderd my candy white 122 and i have a delivery date of october/novemberish =(
Re: Current delivery times...
Im pretty much the same as "Cuprabob", ordered mine on March 26th and given week 22 as confirmed build week.
As can be seen on my previous threads/posts I also had to drop the colour MFD and then within a week low and behold im given a build week, until that point mine was showing "P" on the system
