See my details in my post... but 1.4TSi DSG, Night Blue, Multi Function Wheel, Cruise, Bluetooth. I had ordered Dynaudio but the dealer didn't add it and i didn't want to delay anything by adding it after the original order!

I had the same problem, which dealership did you order from? I ordered from lancaster. Seems people cant do basic data entry these days. I so angry about it.

Glad to hear your taking it and let me know your thoughts regarding the standard stereo!

It was done through a lease company, but i think it was Listers Stratford - they've been great ever since!

I'm also not convinced it wasn't the lease company screwing up and blaming the dealer to be honest....

Hi jammyd, I've ordered exactly the same car as you, 170 GT with DSG box, except I've got a very pretty Cocker Spaniel, when did you place your order.

She is lovely!

I must say the Cocker Spaniel does appear to be the dog of choice for the discerning Scirocco owner.... in 12 months or so a Border Terrier (or two!) will be joining us as i'm manically allergic to animals so must choose wisely.... seems perfect to be dating a vet doesn't it!

you mean you have not got chains and whips in your boot!!!!!

I order on 5 October, order was accepted by factory in Wk50, so it was 12 weeks build time, and a dealer who said he had allocation when he clearly didn't!

Called into the dealer this morning. He logged into VW and showed me the screen and said the car was showing status P, which he said was awaiting build date. He did say that the delay could be the 170 engine I have ordered. Two weeks ago he ordered at 160 petrol with manual box and no extras, got a build date of next week. Just what is going on at VW? He also said that Seat are having real problems with getting the 170 diesel.

The dealership has no allocations for the Rocco until September. He did sound very gloomy about my car and hinted that it may not arrive until August. If that is the case then they can keep it until September so that I can at least get a 61 plate.

Ouch!

Mine was showing as a P, which literally just means it has been ordered.... pretty crappy that you get nowt until September though!

Have you considered upgrading to the 160bhp petrol?

Thought about the 160 when we first looked at the Rocco but I don't really want the frantic drive that the 7 speed DSG will give, little too old for that game. The 170 is more like a proper GT in the way the power delivery is applied and we do a lot of miles, retirement is a wonderful thing. Will I regret not ordering a Volvo V60, only time will tell, but at least it would have been sitting on my drive right now.

Maybe try a 160? To be honest i didn't find the drive frantic actually - as you know the DSG is so smooth when shifting cogs that unless you really want to go balls out, it's fine!

I do agree that the 170 is more of a GT though....

Have you asked the dog? She may prefer the smell of petrol?

Snap Whicher! Mine was completed on Tuesday too. Do you know whether yours made the ship that left this week or not? I've had to call VW for all updates. Not heard a peep from my dealer :(
