pano sunroof - road noise?
Hi all, has anyone test driven a rocc with and without the pan sunroof?? How does the road noise compare between the two? Is there any?
I really want to add it as an option but have heard mixed reviews regarding road noise at high speeds with the pano roof. Any help would be much appreciated ! John

Trust me at high speeds you'll be keeping your eyes on the speedometer not caring about the noise personally i think you should get it cause it makes the cabine more spaciousroccosaver wrote:I really want to add it as an option but have heard mixed reviews regarding road noise at high speeds with the pano roof. Re: pano sunroof - road noise?
I've driven both with and without the sunroof, can't say that I've noticed any difference in terms of road noise.
I ended up choosing one with sunroof, and really like the light and spacious feel of the cabine.
It does however make some squeaky and creaky noise, especially now during cold weather, but I guess is the rubber seals needing some silicone or something.
I don't mind though, just turn up the volume and enjoy the drive.
And it also gives me some extra head room

Re: pano sunroof - road noise?
First time I saw one in the show room with the sunroof , I thought wow that looks fantastic , it was so wide I thought it might feel like a soft top when open , then came the disappointment of test driving one and finding out it was tilt only and that descripttion was abit rich, I can totally see the "it lets in more light arguement" but in the end it was an option to far for me and I didn't pick it

My car has it (I didn't spec the car) - and I'm pleased with it as it does make the cabin more spacious and light (obviously), and there's no significant difference in road noise. Obviously at speed, with it open, there's more wind noise though.

Can't say that I noticed a difference in the noise levels.

Re: pano sunroof - road noise?
I test drove both w/ panorama and w/o panorama before I placed my order and noticed no difference in road noice. It definitely enhances the looks as the windscreen seems continue over the roof and since I'm a tall bugger 6ft4in (190cm in the metric part of the world) I really wanted the extra headroom. And once you have compared the light and airy feeling there is not much to ponder about.
