Last night i took dad to pick up the Honda insight he's using for the next few weeks and decided to do a fuel consumption comparison....
The cars:
My car
2.0 tsi manual
Revo stage 1
Lowered on eibach 25mm springs
20" wheels running 235/30/20 tyres
Tested in comfort mode
Honda insight
1.3 hybrid cvt (auto)
Standard
175/65/15 tyres
Tested in Eco mode
The journey:
38 miles covering some urban driving but mostly motorway on a slight incline.
A period of a few miles 50mph average speed check. Little traffic so pretty much constant speed of 60-65mph.
I kept a constant distance to the insight matching acceleration etc to get as direct a comparrison as possible.
Ave consumption on trip computer was reset before setting off on both cars.
The end result:
Insight 55.0mpg
Roc 42.0 mpg
A loss for the roc but not a bad result at all!
I also managed 39.4 mpg at a constant 70mph on the first leg of the journey, though this was slightly downhill overall.

I'd say a diesel Roc wouldn't be far off matching the Honda if not slightly better.
