VW Aluminium Pedals

I picked up my Candy White Scirocco on Jan 11th and there were 2 items missing - the Car mats and the Aluminium sports pedals. The dealer thought they would come on the car but when they didn't he ordered them. Been chasing him since and finally today I find that when he contacted VW Ireland they contacted Germany who informed them that the Pedals were discontinued and could only be ordered via the Sport Pack and factory fitted.

The only option available was that you could get replacement covers for the brake and clutch pedal but not for the Accelerator!!

I have told the dealer to order these anyway in the hope I'll pick up a VW pedal or even a non VW pedal that would be a good match

Anyone experience the same problem?

Well the online brochure was updated on Jan 17th and contains nothing about the pedals, i seem to remember them being in there. Also the accessories brochure is "currently unavailable" so looks like they are updating that at the mo. As a dealer he will be able to order in the parts required and if it was his fault then at their cost. The clutch and brake are simple swap outs but the accelerator is a little more complex to change but still thats their problem.

What would happen if you had the sports pack and your accelerator pedal for whatever reason was to break then are they saying you need to buy a whole new car with the sport pack again ... i think not.

All the VW dealers as far as i am aware

Thanks Guys, I've sent a few e-mails to VW dealers in Northern Ireland to see if they have any in stock

All VW dealers in Ireland are out of stock and they cannot reorder

None in stock in NI but they gave 2 dealers in England and 1 in Scotland that show they have a set each.

All NI Garages confirmed that they are discontinued everywhere so these are the last few remaining
