My delivery date moved from January to March due to pano sunroof supply issues... my order is scheduled for 6th March but I haven't heard about any further delay on this.

You sure you got enough question marks in your post my friend....????????????????? ;)

I have one (as do some others here) and love it.
Drove one with and without before ordering mine and yes it does make a difference, and gives the car a nice bright feel to it.
Some (those who haven’t got it...) will say it's not worth the money as it does not slide open (only tilts) but even so, it is.

However if there are indeed delays now (and I haven’t heard there are) with the sunroofs, not sure I would wait for months for it...

Horses for courses I guess as to if its 'worth it'. I actually preferred the car without the sunroof as I like the feel of the cabin without it, more closed in and like a fighter cockpit if you know what I mean.

It has been mentioned in some reviews that the sunroof is pretty much pointless ( doesnt slide ) but more interestingly gives the inside of the car an echo.

personally i think its more snug without it.

Like I said earlier mikelawry, those against it will be those who didn't bother with it, and I doubt you will find anyone that got it, say it's pointless, but I might be wrong...

there are in fact many cars on the road nowadays that offer a sunroof that does not slide (my wife's included) and that's usually because they are large panoramic ones that are too big for that.

I'll say it again, it gives the car a lovely airy feel, and I think when summer comes along it will be even nicer.

By the way depending on your choice of colour it's also a design feature.
For instance it looks fantastic on the white cars (because the whole surrounding is glass not just the sunroof itself) and makes them look really cool. (unlike on my black one where it makes no difference from that point of view)

You are going to get various opinions here like any other extra you ask about and only you can decide whether you want one or not.

I ordered my car with the GT-package which includes black roof lining, so why would I want a hole in that lovely roof?
And also, as long as its only with tilt and no slide, I don't want to pay AND wait for it.

I had a choice of cars when I bought mine, with or without sunroof; dealer had two on his books he had to move. Otherwise the cars were identical ... I went for the sunroof becasue I like the airer feel inside; my wife really hated the one without a sunroof and said that she felt claustrophobic. In fact she said "Buy that car over my dead body!" So that kind of made the choice easy. The thing I love about it is that I open it in the winter and turn the a/c off and get really nice fresh air (remember to turn the recirc onto Automatic incase you run into a cloud of diesel fumes!)

there is officially a delay on the roofs, I had this confirmed by VW Customers Services last week. they didn't confirm what the issue actually is, apart from anyone with one on order can expect quite a long delay on their orders.

This is why i cancelled my factory order and opted to look for a an ex-demo. The sales guy at the new dealer said they had recently been updated with notification of even further delays..

so be prepared for a long wait if you do go for the option!
I luv Roc!
