DAB integration on RNS315, not available in 2011 ?

Not really sure about this. But asking anyway, if someone have 'inside' information. I have an Scirocco on order. And one of my absolute requirements is DAB integration on radio (RNS315). No problem. Was on the list, and my official order through VW's system has it as an item (Nov 2010).

Just now I was looking at the new prices for 2011, just to see how much they will up the price on my order Standard procedure. But noticed one thing. None of the offical price lists (Golf, Scirocco, ...) in Norway has "DAB integration" as an item anymore. Now I'm afraid I'll get a message of new price, without DAB item at all.

Any idea ? Or have they just forgot the item on early 2011 lists ?

Dont know if its the same for you in Norway but here in the uk if you have already ordered the vehicle at a time the options you specified where still available you will get the vehicle as you ordered it

At worst id of thought they will honour the price at time of order and give you whatever Radio with DAB that has replaced the previous model?

Thanks. Will see when I get the adjusted contract in a week or two. Did a quick test through the Volkswagen .co.uk & .de web-config versions on Scirocco. Both had "DAB integration" still. Is just strange that the 2011 PDF pricelists & web-config has "DAB integration" removed for all models I have looked at in Norway. Report back when I get some solid info.

I have a Scirocco on order and fancied the DAB upgrade but it looked like a new head unit (the VW brochures are rubbish, the dealers never seem confident in their answers either) , my partner just ordered a Tiguan and what looks like the 510 head unit has DAB as standard... Hoping the Scirocco has this when it's finally delivered.

VW do two versions of the RCD510 head unit, one without DAB support and one with... both look identical externally, some models now get RCD510+DAB as standard (Tiguan Match, Golf Match) whilst some don't (Scirocco GT/R, Golf GT/GTD/R, Tiguan Escape/Sport)

If you've not ticked the option box for DAB you will not get a DAB version of the radio.

Just replying on the info I got from dealer. The explanation was that DAB is supposed to be standard my model / radio from now on (location: Norway). Not really 100% sure on this. So do not make me accountable for this info Anyway, my contract still lists DAB integration. So I'll make them live up to that promise.
