Get some Rain-X on your windscreen works wonders, plus spray silicon on the rubber to help keep them in good condition.

Hmmmm.. I have silicion polish at work. Might see if they let me nab that past security

Banished the dreaded windscreen smear!

I was in my local VW dealer yesterday and I mentioned the smear on the down swipe on the drivers side. They replaced the wiper blade and its finally gone!
