So, one year into having the car, the first serious problem appeared: the driver's seat has started squeaking. It only happens when I move my torso forward and seems to be coming from the springs which are returning to their original position when there is no more pressure. It's just like the old armchair your grandparents own that squeaks when you stand up.
My questions are:
-does anyone else have this?
-what can be done?
-I have 1 year of warranty left and I assume the noise will only get worse. Do you think I can persuade VW to change the seat?
Thanks!

Re: Squeaking seat
Maybe you could say that there is a further issue that is hurting your back, like the lumbar support is going insane and it's stopping you driving or something.

Re: Squeaking seat
i noticed this a day or two ago if I move forward off the seat quickly a ping sound from the springs in the upper part of the back rest, going mention it when it goes in for service, I have heated seat and was using them at the time going to see if the is any correlation.

Re: Squeaking seat
I also have the heated seats. Didn't have the problem last winter though. Seems to be more a problem from the springs, not from the heating elements.
