I don't think it would be legal for vw to include the cameras!

I can program it but im a distance away, someone close could do it, you wont get video in motion without adding an extra bit of wiringchani1312 wrote:Hi no the guy I bought it literally just took out my rcd510 and put in the rns510 and gps aerial. The gps worked perfectly....however it doesn't pick up speed cameras. Why is that? I did have rsap Bluetooth before it so yes I do have it.
I drove all the way to London to get it I am based in Manchester in London for today I don't have a clue who has a vagcom to programme it. Any help on who has one?? Really want this fully functional. Other irritating thing is the DVD turning off when in motion
I will seriously apreciate any help and anyone who can sort me with programming. And I will happily buy you guys a drink or two. I think I'm the youngest driver. 21 still need help with things

Thanks 182 Nottingham too far. I'm back in Manchester now but if I can't get anyone here hope that offer stands.
What wiring would I need for DVD in motion?

NP, for video in motion you need something like this http://www.kufatec.de/shop/product_info ... -Play.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;chani1312 wrote:Thanks 182 Nottingham too far. I'm back in Manchester now but if I can't get anyone here hope that offer stands.

You should search on ebay. They go for 90-10£.. Much cheaper than kufatec.

Is this quite a common conversion then? Looking to get the sav nav done once I get my car.
Is it just a plug and play unit or is there additional wiring?

The only wiring is a gps antenna that you need to add, but this just plugs into the new RNS, as said in the thread the RNS may need programming with VCDS, as for fitting it's just unclipping the front trim around the head unit then undoing 4 bolts and out it all pops, took me aprox 10 mins to do mineThe Don wrote:Is this quite a common conversion then?
