Rear View Camera
Re: Rear View Camera
I would route the cables down the drivers side under the plastic sill and then up behind the rear quarter panels to boot area.

Yes the parts are waiting for me at home.
I will post pictures later today.

Re: Rear View Camera
Here's the pics
The camera, camera bracket and end plate
Camera in the bracket
The end plate holding the camera in place
And now I understand why it's expensive for these bits of plastic and why I didn't know what chassis the 3W0 part numbers come from
Hence why the part is also listed for the Phaeton too.

Now I'm proud for my car!
And what is the shape of the cutting you're going to do? Square?

Re: Rear View Camera
Steve, where does the end plate go ?, on the end of the housing to stop the camera popping out ?
Re: Rear View Camera
As per the third pic, it holds the camera in place in the bracket.182_blue wrote:Steve, where does the end plate go ?, on the end of the housing to stop the camera popping out ?

Re: Rear View Camera
OK, that wasnt to clear on my iphone lol, so i guess you cut a square hole and it just clips in place ?
Re: Rear View Camera
Correct, I am going to pick-up a scrap bumper or some plastic sheet tomorrow and test fit the camera bracket so I can create a template to minimize risk when cutting a real rocco bumper.
I also think it will look better if the camera bracket is colour coded to the bumper

Re: Rear View Camera
No pics sorry! The bumper removal involved torx unscrewing and uncliping. Nothing difficult.
