Car went into VolksWagen today. I got there at silly o'clock to hand my keys in and go back to bed, when I was told the car has been booked in for a road test with the master technician and he dont start till half 8. Strange, considering the noise is only pressent when stationary at full lock.

So I waited around for him and true to sods law when he looked at the car it decided not to make any noise.
![Cry ](./images/smilies/weeping.gif)
But having succesfully decribed the noise he made the asumption that its the top mount making the click/twang noise. So its having both top mounts replaced with a hope to cure it.

But due to silly working hours and the need to use public transport I may not be able to pick it up till friday, so I will report back then.
And just as warning, the master technician said its not the 1st mk3 'Roc or mk5 Golf thats had this problem and by the way he said it, it sounds rather common!!!
