Spare wheel?
Hi Guys,
I forgot to check if the Rocco comes with a spacesaver spare wheel or an inflation foam kit. Can anyone with a Rocco let me know please?
Thanks

Re: Spare wheel?
Is it a full sized spare or a 17" steel rim?

But not for use on motorways. Too dangerous.stan_blade wrote:Dont forget you also get a warning triangle for when you need to change on the highway.

Re: Spare wheel?
Had a puncture last week (first one in years!)
Was worried looking at the nail stuck in it that tyre had gone, but they said it was fine and they would fix it.
That space saver wheel is a joke, looks like a bicycle wheel, almost embarrassing driving around with it...

Still better than just having a foam spray at least

Re: Spare wheel?
Found a bulge when cleaning the car this weekend on one of my front tyres, so I have had to put the space saver on until I can get to the garage tomorrow.
However I'm not sure of the correct PSI for the space saver. The side wall says its 60psi but the manual says it should be the highest psi for the car indicated on the fuel filler cap which is 36psi
Looking at the tyre with just 36 in it looks wrong, so I have opted for 50psi is this going to cause me a problem driving 20 miles?

I would have thought the space saver would have to be at a higher psi as theres a smaller surface to take the load of the car so the pressure will be more.

Re: Spare wheel?
Just checked through a few VW & Audi handbooks. They all say run the spare spacer at 4.2bar or 60 psi.
Could be a misteak in the manual, its not the first I've spotted with the Scirocco Mk3 owner booklets.
My spare wheel tyre states inflate to 4.2bar/60psi on the side wall.
Warning triangle you blag or buy. Fits in the two plastic squarish clips on the back wall moulding of the boot.
