Sounds like a garage to avoid in future, might be a good idea to post up the details of the dealer, but be careful to be absolutely accurate else they might be able to sue you for defamation !
I had a similar thing a few years back with a week old Golf V6 4 motion when I was treated by my other half to an expensive weekend at a leading Hotel in Canary Wharf in London with valet parking...the car did 30 miles in the car Park ( according to the hotel) And a pristine clean car was returned filthy, only noticed the following day as we left after dark and I didn't look at the speedo reading till the next day when I noticed the dirt and guessed the car had been on a jolly! The hotel couldn't give a s..t when I complained, needless to say never used that hotel again, I guess this must be close to theft or at least using the car without the owners permission? Not enough respect around these days.
Ever since then I always note the speedo readings and check on collection. When you leave a car at a dealer (or anywhere) it's a good idea to make sure the mileage is noted on the job card, that way they know you're checking!
