Well in my most humble opinion if it were a choice of black or white i would go for white.
Black makes the roc invisible. White is probably the best colour of all for the roc. . . .BUT..there are far too many on the roads in this colour. That's why i opted for the rising blue and i think it looks brilliant.
Color decision black/white?

Re: Color decision black/white?
If it is just between black and white, I'd go for the white also. I haven't seen only Sumatra and I have to say that I find everything beyond Pewter Gray just too dark. Bright colors brilliantly underline the black front grill and the pano roof, whereas the dark colors hide the aggressive stance of the car. Both black and white get dirty way too quickly though. My reasoning beyond my Opal Silver was that it is a very bright color, you can't tell it's dirty from a distance and it is not a regular silver. I dare say if there is a color best suited for sunny days, it is the Opal Silver (and probably Viper Green).

Re: Color decision black/white?
All the original posters showed white and that was the colour I had to have from the outset. I nearly bought one in rising blue but on reflection Im glad the deal fell through.
Also another thing, Im glad the diesel 140 is not the worst engine for Rocs anymore! (no offense anyone with the 122, but to me it would make more sense havign the diesel, its got more mpg, a better 0-60 and arn't the carbon emissions only a bit higher)
Just my 2 cents.

Re: Color decision black/white?
I really do like black cars, i've previously had a Golf and Polo in Pearlescent black. Those cars though have simple silhouettes.
I did consider a black Scirocco until I saw one - it really hides the curves and bulges of the car and theres no contrast with the grilles.
Lighter colours do work best with the Scirocco IMO (OK, shoot me black owners). White does look good, but 1/2 the Sciroccos I see are white, and so are 1/2 of all the other new cars on the road. White is fashionable again (which also means it might again fall out of favour in a year or 2).
With the white though - money saved vs the metallic/pearlescent versions.
I do think that you should go for a light colour, but there's plenty of choice to be had in the lighter colours. If you want to stand out from the white crowd, i'd go for rising blue or viper green (nice to see, but i wouldn't have one myself).

Re: Color decision black/white?
Both are nice. But I think the black should be on the GT, as the chrome pipes (along with the 18" wheels) make it look nice. Without them, looks a bit bland i think.
I ordered a white GT because I wanted something different. Have got a silver vauxhall now. Silver and grey I think are boring. I'll probably try different colours over the years. Metallic Blue or Viper Green are nice.

I went for white as it was the stand out model on the forecourt, except for Viper Green, but I didn't want that attention!
