A couple of questions then ..

Just got my 2.0Tsi (Build Week 2) today and I've been tinkering with the settings, is the Mirror Down function only available on the folding mirrors ? (Which I didn't get)

How do I turn on the red door opening lights ?

Is the Ipod cable definitely supposed to be included with the 2.0Tsi GT model ? I only got the USB one which is no good for my 1st gen iTouch.

What can I do about the crap wipers ? Is there still an ongoing problem or shall I just get them replaced ?

Go back to the dealers, you should have got one. They both come in a white box from the factory. Its free so don't let them charge for it. If they try to, just phone VW Customer Services and make a complaint if they won't give you it FoC.

Even the latest are bad on the driver's side. Checked fitting "Jetta" wipers about 4 weeks ago but the EKTA parts systems list the same part number - check yours, they should be (unless updated again) 1K8 955 426E Drivers Side Wiper Blade part written in fairly small print on the plastic carrier facing the windscreen near the arm attachment point. Partly hidden by the rubber blade. Passenger side is 1K8 955 425E. The "E" version was suppose to solve the problem but hasn't.

aha Shewie/Rich, you must be like i was on 2nd of Jan when I picked up redroc.....altho redroc was a demo but still smells new.

My mirror was already set to dip, but the thread above is useful.

Yep my wiper on drivers side leaves the smear, pain in the but when you think such a simple thing just should have been engineered out on pre-production.

mine came with the standard 2 connecting wires for the MDI, although being a demo both were sitting in the armrest witht he iPod one already connected (presumably the person from the dealer who put the first 5000miles on had an iPod lol)

its hit & miss with who gets it & who doesn't shewie no one can really find much continuity with who has it & who doesn't but yes i think folding mirrors are required.

YES it is not model specific EVERYONE should have one go back & have a serious moan at them & not take "no sir that costs extra" for an answer

I got on the blower to the dealers yesterday and the missing ipod cable came through in the post this morning. Apparently the guy who delivered my car was new and he didn't pick up the cables from the parts dept. Anyway I connected up my 1st gen iTouch and it works like a good un.

Can the short pause between tracks when playing back mixed music be sorted out ?

I thought the red reflectors on the inside of the doors were lights, sorry my bad.

The Mirror Down setting definitely isn't an option on mine, been through all the menus today and it's not there.

The wipers seemed to have improved today with a bit more use, it must have been something slimey on the glass I reckon.

The light underside on the wing mirror is the puddle light so that why I think its only a reflector.

Tilting mirror - had to have folding is how I understood but there have been some confusing posts on the matter.

Can anyone shed any light on the iPod playback, not too keen on the jumps between tracks. Is there a fix at all ?
