Scirocco thinking on buying 1

Post by A14N_D »

Morning Fellas,

Thinking on trading in a 2001 Lexus IS 200 sport for a Scirocco,

As you would think they are a tad dear but probably worth it, But only being 24 with no commitments, do yous think im doing the correct thing?

Cant seem to find 1 thats matchs the price range I was willing to go, around 16K to 18K

Can any 1 give advice on any website thats sell these cars other than the main VW page and Autotrader,

Any Help would be greatful

Been itching for 1 since last year
:(
Thanks

I'm 29 with no commitments (just a big kid really haha) and I think it's the best thing I've done so far. I'd go for it if I was you.

I got mine 2nd hand from VW, it only had 4k on the clock and was £20990. I've not really followed 2nd hand prices closely, but I know they haven't really dipped at all.

I was in a similar situation to you but I went to the dealers yesterday and took the plunge. They offered me a decent trade in for my current car and a fair discount off the list price for the Scirocco so maybe you should go in and see what they can do?
Obviously it depends what model you're after etc...
Ordered 24th Jan. Build Week 9. Arrived at dealers 29th March. Collection 31st March.

hey guys just a quick suggestion, have you considered going through an online broker to see what discount they offer & if it brings it into your price range. i went through broadspeed last june to place my order who referred my order through to a mainstream dealer.
obviously depends if you want used or new & what model though

I have always had pre-reg\one year old cars over the years but when it came to the roc it simply was not worth it, used rocs were as expensive and in some cases more so, than list price from VW. I did order in October so the VAT reduction made a difference for me. If you do order from online retailers bear in mind delivery times.
