Options: Gone but never forgotten; Sumatra, Cruise, Parking Sensors, Flat Tyre Indicator, boot liner, hatchbag, premium sills, SciroccoCentral stickers & hedgehog! Ordered 23rd June 09 Build week 41 Handover 17th Oct 09 Off to his new home July 2016 after nearly 7 years & 88800 miles.
if your dealer has said it is currently scheduled to be built in the second week of feb, that is build week 6 (we count through the build weeks at the top of the page) the dealer or vw customer services (if you have your commission number) can update you on what build week your car is scheduled for.
during build the car has to go through 8 stages of build (don't know exactly what each entails before you ask ) you probably won't be notified of it completing every single one but if your dealer updates you during its build he might say it has passed check point 5 for example.
I'm getting a tad upset with my order so far.
My dealer was eventually able to give me a "confirmed build" of week 18, according to the updated PC info, but I haven't really trusted their info from the start. VW Customer Services SA said they couldn't confirm this, and I should speak to the dealer. They ordered the Roc on the 7th December, which would mean that the wait is 23 weeks from order, with additional delivery from Germany to SA (possibly another 2-3 weeks extra). This just seems like a really long time in comparison to other orders (approx. 3 months). They said something to do with the slot allocation...
Ordered: 7 Dec 2009 | Build Week: 17 | Build Stage completed: 3 May 2010 | Collected: 7 Jul 2010
Ordered 24th Oct 09. Rang VW CS today. Originally quoted wk4 (this week) told ' it will be built by the end of next week, should be at the dealers by end of Feb'.

no its not Mark, that relates to your order within your dealer. The comission number is the reference of your order within the whole of the VW order system (worldwide).

wazzsta - thanks man, using VW Fury Northcliff (I think that's their name)
Yo dude, i ordered in October 2009 and i was told 2weeks ago that mine is scheduled for build in week 6. It takes 6weeks after build to get it to S.A so I've been told to expect the car end March. I'm using Newcastle VW and they are lending me a loan car due to their stuff up of initially promising me delivery 3rd week January. So far they are being very accommodating.
VW CS though thought it was strange I was ringing them when my dealer has the same info: so I am confused as to why you peeps seem to band VW CS about like it’s the only way to get info on your cars?
Still nice to hear that my dealer isn’t telling porkies
What is the shipping time please, as I believe the car is built in Spain?
The car is built in Portugal and once it is complete add another 2-3 weeks on and thats when it should arrive at the dealers
Mine is confirmed build week 5, was at stage 3 yesterday so should be on its way here within the next 10 days i hope

Simply because a lot of dealers cannot bothered to dig into the system for you to find the details.
