Sunglasses

Post by MKAndy »

Has anyone managed to get sunglasses to fit in the sunglasses compartment on their Rocco?

I've got 3 pair and none of them fit, they're not massive either!

I've tried 2 pairs without success. But, if I'm honest I doubt I'd want to wear a pair small enough to fit in the holder.

I think the only one's i've fitted in are my gfs normal glasses.

Mine do surprisingly. I didn't think they would as they are quite deep but I'm glad they do.

I've had trouble in my Gti for the last few years. Out of about four pairs only one would fit, and that was lenses down too :(

I was hoping they might have tweaked the design for the Roc

One thing that is weird, is that the sunglass compartment only comes for the roccos without the sunroof....why would they do that, are they getting cheaper every year (vw)? In my case i bought a small clip where the sunglasses can be placed or just use the glovebox/armrest space (btw i wear the really old raybanes, aka pilot ones )

I have a pair of plactic Cebe's I can scrunch in the holder, but I don't think I'd try with something pricier like Rays or Oakleys...

It's because the space is replaced with the controls for the sunroof. I guess they could have found somewhere else for it though.

Now that i think about it ashley, where would the "somewhere else be" ? I've been thinking about it and couldnt find anywhere  All i can thing of is in the glove box, but then it would be to small for anything else to put in there. Also, the arm rest is a big NO cause its also small.......So what now?

its best for wire frame sunglasses but I find getting them out of the compartment, especially whilst driving, is difficult and I could damage the glasses. Also, they rattle a lot in there creating unwanted noise. I don't use it at all anymore lol
