VW Assist telephone number

Post by iAmbu »

Hi all

I have just realised that I do not know the telephone number I would need to call for VW Assist if I broke down in my Scirocco.... Although I hope I never need it!

It may have been on the VW dealer tax disc holder, but I asked for that to not be put onto my car as I fitted a Richbrook tax disc holder instead.

So, what is the number please guys? Thanks.

What's the geographical number? I don't want to pay extra for 0800 on my mobile.

AgaZaKa - I'm all for saving money, but in the unlikley event of having to call them if you break down is that such a big deal?

Ah the joys of having built in bluetooth. One press of the spanner button next to the interior light on the ceiling and the car dials it for me...

Not that I've ever had to use it but I was like a kid in a sweet shop when I got it - if there was a button to press you can bet your bottom dollar I pressed it... at least once :D

I used them last week when my engine light came on and it flashed up 'engine fault'. Turned out the sensor behind the pedal had come out. Couldn't have been more helpful to be honest.

They came out to my work. Plugged the computer in and checked through the faults. He spent a while after diagnosing and fixing it just checking it over and making sure everything was right.

They are part of RAC but only come out to VW's. They use silver VW transporter vans sign written with VW ASSIST and carry all of the official VW tech like the dealers have.
