on my current car i usually just use colinite wax to protect it, but i want my rocco to look ultra shiny and well protected at the same time, i did choose the 3 year guaranteed paint protection when ordering the car, does that protect from swirls?
whats the best way to keep my paintwork like it was just out of the factory, my rocco will be pearl black

Hi Slippy,
What paint protection did you go for? Generally, the paint protection schemes won't offer any guard against swirl marks - the best way to keep it looking as good as possible is to start out with a good wash regime and good quality products.
Ideally you should be using products like a lambs wool or microfibre wash mitt, followed by a microfibre drying towel.
In terms of wax, we would personally recommend Lusso Oro... it's by far the best and easiest to use wax we've tried and the results are stunning. It won't give the same sort of durability as Collonite, but then, nothing really will as Collonite wins pretty much hands down against the Carnauba waxes, but in terms of ease of use, value for money and gloss levels we don't think that there's much to rival Lusso Oro.
For best results, you should aim to clay the car after you've washed it, and then cleanse the paintwork using Lusso Revitalizing Creme, followed by at least two coats of Oro. This process will produce amazing results, especially on pearl black.
Hope this helps

thanks autoperfection, just one thing then, lussu oro wax, how often should i be applying it? every wash? collonite usually lasts a couple of washes, but then if you clay the car you lose the wax that you have on the car...

With Lusso to get the best results you should aim to get two coats on initially (because it doesn't need any amount of time to gas out like some other waxes, you can apply two coats one after the other) and then top up the wax ideally on a monthly basis. With two initial coats you should see about three months, but it's best to keep it well topped up to keep the maximum shine and also maximum protection. If you enjoy doing it and you've got the time to wax the car every time you wash it then great, but if you're washing it every week, it probably isn't absolutely necessary - as above, probably once a month is the best to go for
Yeah you're right - if you clay the car this will remove the wax and you should then aim to pre-wax cleanse the paintwork and start the wax application again from scratch. You shouldn't need to clay the car too often though to be honest... if you do it to start off with and then get a good layer of wax on, you shouldn't need to look at claying the car for around another 6 months or so.
If you're thinking of getting some Oro (or anything else for that matter!), we've just put a 15% discount code in place for November so feel free to use the discount code "november" during checkout at http://www.autoperfection.com/shop to take advantage of the offer
Hope this helps
