2010 Tdi 140 GT with cloth and dark roof lining?

I heard a rumour that all the 2010 GT cars now come with a dark roof lining, whether they have leather or not? Does anyone have one of these or know if it is true?

Mine doesnt, its a GT built WK26, so its a 2010 model. Maybe the newer WK45 cars may have this, if so, I'll be gutted!! Email VW customer services, thats what I did when I was getting mne, and they got back very quickly with a clear answer about the roof lining.

Nope, apparently alot of dealers believe that to be true, mine included. They swore blind I would get dark lining right up until they had my car on the doorstep. 2.0TSI = Dark lining, anything with leather = dark roof lining, anything else = light lining.

I picked up my GT 3 weeks ago, I do not have leather seats but I do have a dark roof lining. I thought the cabin was a little dark when I test drove one back in March (can't remember the lining colour!), but it was dark enough back then to make sure I ordered the panoramic sunroom - it was a great choice.

Absolutely loving the car so far, although still getting used to the the low down pull and DSG driving characteristics from my previous manual honda vtec.

I've got 'Black Roof Lining' on my order form from VW, the dealers assumed it would come with it. Wonder what I can get for free when it comes with the incorrect spec!

i got mine last may,sport pack spec,alcantara suede,alum.pedals,privacy glass,tailored mats,18''interlagos,salsa red,it has black roof lining.seemed dark at first,but love it now,lovely with red interior lights at night.got bluefin remap,highly recommended guys,totally differant car to 140bhp.about 175-180bhp now.added chrome tailpipe trims&premium sill guards,so it looks like a 170 now!

What's the Sport Pack?

The Sports pack is as follows (excert from the Irish catalogue)

Enhance your Scirocco’s look with a Sports pack. This includes ‘Catch Up’/Alcantara leather* upholstery in Titan Black, tinted windows from B pillar back, Donington 17" alloy wheels, aluminium look pedals, front and rear carpet mats and integrated front fog lights.

In the UK we get a higher standard spec therefore do not have so many option packs such as this, but there are still a few things that we do not have the option to spec such as the alcantara.

Got my GT TDI 170 today, can confirm the following:

Light roof lining
Stainless Exhaust ends

I also was hoping for the dark lining at first, but after driving around the whole day, these little beasties are quite tight inside already, and would imagine it would be downright claustrophobic with it any darker.

I think the light roof lining is just right.

I had big concerns with the roof lining colour I'd have blew a gasket if my GT had come with grey as it seems it would have if I hadn't opted for leather, close one...
