Was supposed to be mid Jan - now according to my online order it's March
Awaiting a call from the dealer as to the reason why...
Trying to look on the plus side:
- Additional 2 months of allowance in lieu of car from work
- Easier to sell my ragtop in Spring
- My insurance renewal runs out in March anyway
Newp... still raging
Estimated Delivery date pushed out 2 months !

Over 100 demos/cancelled orders for sale in the UK, VW are hoping you get frustrated enough to settle for one of those, no reason other than that.
You've come this far, just hang in there. I'm sure you'll get it well before March even though the computer says otherwise.

Re: Estimated Delivery date pushed out 2 months !
This is not just silly it's rediculous
Just had the dealer on the phone. Yes as mentioned above problems with supply of Pano roofs means my estimated build has gone from week 51 to 04!!!!
Up to last week I was hoping for week 47 then told 51 now 04. Still not confirmed and it may come forward ,B*ll*cks! it just keeps going back further and further.
Considering my first estimate build week was 43 this really is taking the piss. So I'm thinking well I'll cancel the roof ,but then theyll probably run out of something else like paint !!
I am really beginning to consider cancelling and keeping my golf till the Mk6 Gti comes out .Then I'll probably only have to wait 3 months - Yeh right

Re: Estimated Delivery date pushed out 2 months !
When i ordered mine ( 2 weeks ago) the dealer told me, that they were having problems with the pano roof and one of radio/Nav-upgrades ( don't know which one, coz i didnot order it).
Because of that they moved my estimated buildingweek with 2 week to week 52.
So the problem is not new !

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot, VW.
You'd think that it was easy to shift new metal these days .. what recession?
The Scirocco would potentially buck the trend as there is considerable demand for it.
I suspect we can only be dragged along for so much time before we lose interest and go elsewhere.
How difficult is it to align suppliers with production - you'd think they had all that sorted before they launched.
