Candy White + Parking Sensors - Photo Request
Hi all
I am after some photos (actual photos, not VW computer generated images)...
Could someone with a Candy White Scirocco, which has genuine VW factory fitted rear parking sensors, please post on here a photo of the rear of their car (showing the sensors), and also a close up view of one of the sensors?
Many thanks

Thanks trix!!
I'd still appreciate more photos, especially a clear close up photo of one of the sensors on a Candy White.
Thanks

They ruin the backside of the Roc a little in my opinion. I thought they were worth getting though, no excuses for reversing into anyone...

Re: Candy White + Parking Sensors - Photo Request
I have had rear parking sensors retrofitted by a company who specialise in VW/Audi electronics retrofits (I will be posting a thread on this shortly, detailing the work I have had done). They managed to fit sensors (I believe they are Golf sensors) which are completely flush with the rear bumper. I'm chuffed with them. They are sealed in however with black O-rings, so these obviously stand out in contrast to the white bumper, however not as much as you might imagine, they look very good IMO. Will post pics on the thread that I will write at the end of this month.
I'm after pics of the genuine factory fitted ones though on a Scirocco, to see how mine compare. I think I am right in saying that the factory ones are not completely flush with the bumber (albeit almost flush), and do not have any black showing, the whole sensor area is colour coded to the white bumper - Am I right?

in all the pics i've seen, the whole area is colour coded & near enough flush.iAmbu wrote:I think I am right in saying that the factory ones are not completely flush with the bumber (albeit almost flush), and do not have any black showing, the whole sensor area is colour coded to the white bumper - Am I right?

Here's one slightly bigger. Personally can't help you since mine are non-factory fitted and my car is grey!iAmbu wrote:Bump.... Pretty please! Thanks.
Not too sure why you're so keen to get the pictures though. It's not like you're going to remove your sensors and then fit the factory ones in?

Re: Candy White + Parking Sensors - Photo Request
Thank you to all!!
The reason I wanted photos was to see how the factory fitted ones look, to compare them to what I have. I potentially could have asked the company to change the sensors to the genuine Scirocco ones at the end of this month, as I am going back to them to have the sensors hooked up to my RNS-510 to display the Optical Parking System (yes it is possible!)
However, now I have seen the genuine sensors above, I am more than happy with what I have, especially as mine are completely flush, so I won't be asking for them to be changed
From the last photo it looks like there is some black O-ring visible on the genuine ones too.
Thanks for the uploads.

No black o-ring just a gap. Looking forward to seeing a pic of your aftermarket ones.

Re: Candy White + Parking Sensors - Photo Request
Checked the factory fitted sensors and my white Rock and they definitely have black 'O' Rings.
Cheers
