Newbie Questions......(Sorry)

Post by sbs6dj »

Hi Guys, sorry to trouble you all but i got a few questions. I ordered my rocco (GT 170TDI in Candy White) at the beginning of this month, and i was wondering a few things.... firstly, as it is the GT trim, will it have black headlining??

Secondly as it is the GT will it have the highline computer? And Being a MY10 model will it have the mulitfunction steering wheel show in the pic below?? (sorry for stealing rako, but i couldnt find a good pic elsewhere).

Thirdly, what are peoples opinions of the Dynaudio system, i've ordered this and am a massive music lover, and i spend a great deal of time in the car going back and forth to work, will it be worth my while??

Finally, and possibly most importantly, does anyone know VW's stance on modifications and warranty, the only plans i have is to lower the car with some springs (no damper changes), what would VW have to say about this?? Any help greatly appreciated as im pretty unsure about these quesitons.

Thanks in advance to all.....

:welcome:

Good choice of car ;) I am picking up a very similar spec to yours on 1st September :D (see my spec on the right)

I have been to see my car, and it does have a black headlining. However mine has black leather, so hopefully this is not linked to the black headlining. I can't give you a concrete answer, but I would take a guess to say yes, you will get a black headlining.

I can confirm however that a GT MY2010 model (as yours will be for certain) will definitely get the white Highline display and multifunction wheel you posted a pic of!

Mine has Dynaudio, however I have not listened to it yet - But reports on this forum are very positive and people rave about the Dynaudio.

I have no experience of VW's stance on modifications, however today I received some H&R suspension springs which I will have fitted ASAP to the car, to lower it 35mm. Having read around on forums in relation to mods, I think it depends on the specific VW dealers. Some are cool about mods done right, others can be fussy. I think if a warranty issue arose, your warranty in relation to the modified part would be void, but should not affect any other part of the warranty.

It used to be that only 2.0 Tsi models and all models with leather had the black headlining. However, there was a report a few days ago that there is a cloth 2.0 tdi gt around with black headlining so it may have changed for the 2010 spec.
