HELP! How do you change the dipped Headlight Bulbs?

Talk about general things related to the new VW Scirocco in here.

Aah, I have suffered this too. The driver's side, easy, the passenger's side is a right pain in the ...wrist.

In the end I got some spanners and removed the bolts securing the entire headlamp unit to the front of the car (and the centre panel had to be unbolted too). Then the easier access made it a doddle to unscrew and change the bulb. Got a LOT of strange of looks from the neighbours though and I wish I'd thought of that wooden "key" tool as described above.

PS Yes, I did recheck the beam alignment was reasonable after it all went back together.

Has anyone got a pic of the wooden 'key' referred to above used to remove the dipped headlight lamp holder? Space is so limited to get my hand in it seems almost impossible to get at them with enough 'purchase' needed to twist it anti-clockwise.
