Hi all,
Picked up my 2016 220hp (162KW) GTS a few weeks ago.
Would anyone know what induction kit is recommended? I've since ordered a VWR drop in filter (stock intake housing seems to fit the 6GTI variant) - although with a CULC motor and a turbo relocation, I'd assume any 6GTI intake would fit?
Thanks!

I seem to remember, there is a post on here somewhere that there are two potential induction kits depending on which route your current intake takes. Like I said this is from memory, one goes around the back of the engine and the other goes a different way. Just check the one you wish to order goes the correct way if that makes sense.

Thanks man, appreciate the help! There doesn't seem to be too many mods that are easily accessible becuase of this platform. The turbo seems to be from a 2.0 Q3 as well haha. Most places recommend a custom designed Decat, Eibach / WVR / H&R at least have springs covered, and Revo seem to have a decent enough stage 1 map for the car. Guess we take what we can getbigkris06 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 12:06 am Here’s the thread to which I was referring.

The list is never ending lol.
I narrowed it down to the H&R for mine has seen a few on air that looked slammed but that’s not my thing. Yes definitely stick to the professionals for the map, don’t want to go mad and get a boom from under the bonnet. Depending on where you are a sports cat mights be better than a total decat as you will have issues MOT time as they are cracking down heavily on it.
Hybrid turbo? … why the devil not?

H&R is really nice, I'm running a set on my other 2.0 TSI as well and she sits nicely! Haha yeah, luckily I'm from S.A so we can run decat all day (albeit a custom job since GTS )bigkris06 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 4:03 pm The list is never ending lol.

There was a user that tested the IE Intake for the MK6 Jetta/GLI EA888.3 and that apparently fits perfectly. Ramair makes the front section which works well, I'll see if I can get some info out of VWR too. What all have you done to yours so far mate?

Re: Scirocco GTS Modifications
Repaired it… was a salvage with quite heavy front end damage.
Fortunately there was zero chassis damage.
Have also put brembo discs and pads all round because it needed brakes for MOT and I could justify spending the extra bit as I used my staff discount to buy them!

You definitely can't go wrong with Brembo, how do they compare for regular day-to-day driving as opposed to an OEM EBC equivalent?
