Perhaps I've just been too smitten with the motor until now but recently I've become overly obsessed with the noise the electric window mechanism makes.
I've been driving a few other cars lately, new and old and noticed that their electric window's raise and lower almost silently compared with mine. Being a man, I see this issue as a harbinger of doom. Has anyone else noted if their electric windows operate with an unwelcome crash, bang, wallop?

My drivers window motor sounds like it struggles to move the glass. It's worse when it's cold too. Next service I'll get them to investigate it.

My drivers side window motor has now been changed under warranty and works perfectly now.

My drivers side window started to struggle and was noisy took it to vw and they replaced it under warranty
