Auto headlight sensor

Post by razboy »

OK guys, need some help. My auto headlight sensor is not working. I have been told it is located in the small black bump on top of the dashboard at the bottom of the windscreen, and also told by others that it is in the same housing as the rain sensor behind the interior mirror - car is a pre facelift 2009

It's located on the rear of the interior rear view mirror. It's pretty obvious when you look at the rear of the mirror.

Only thing I can think of is that it contains the antenna for the receiver for the remote locking.

No. The rain/light sensor on the windscreen turns it on and off.
The sensor on the back of your rear view mirror is for high beam assist.
