Stereo Help

Post by Juppy14109 »

Hi all new Rocco owner,

My friend too me out in his and I fell in love so promptly went and bought myself a blue GT TSI 2.0l and I love it.

My only issue is I have the RNS510 stereo but it didn't have the Bluetooth module fitted which after some research means I can't fit a module without getting the wiring done too. So I'm keen to upgrade the stereo to a Bluetooth compatible unit without breaking the bank.

Can anyone recommend a fix for me or a cheap alternative I could replace mine with?

Many thanks in advance.

An option would be an RNS315, which had integrated Bluetooth, which you should bevable to pick up without breaking the bank.

A little more expensive is to replace it with one of the Kenwood units

That RNS315 is great shout looks nice and smart, would the steering wheel controls still work as its a VW replacement?

Thank you for the reply

Or you can buy a Bluetooth module with the wire harness for between £120-180. Just make sure it comes with the mic.

Another route which I took as I use Spotify is the RCD330 plus which has CarPlay and is slick. Maps always up to date. Call quality is the best I’ve experienced over BMW, Audi.

Will set you back £210-300 depending on if import tax is required. I got hit but was worth the £300 final bill. Ticks all the boxes.

Audio quality is the same if not better especially if you choose 320 bit audio on Spotify [emoji6][emoji106]
