Seen as I asked for and got a das 6 for Xmas I thought this weekend would be perfect to give it a try

Old skool hose pipe, no snow foam here (yet...)
Meguires bucket and grit guard
Random new clean bucket
Halfords wash mitt
Halfords advanced car wash (didn’t have anything better to hand)
Auto finesse drying towel (damn this towel is bloody good!)
Das 6 v2 da polisher
Menzerna Green line heavy cut 400
Menzerna red foam pad
Autoglym blue microfibre cloths (from the aqua wax pack)
Menzerna power lock sealant
Menzerna blue wax pad
Halfords polishing cloths
Give or take it was a 6 hour job start to finish

its not half bad is it. I like that you sat on the polisher for 6 months before using it.
I got a pressure washer for $36. Still going strong. It does not have a ton of pressure, but a nice step up from garden hose.
What you have to watch out for is falling too deep into the rabbit hole. Check out the numerous detailing channels on YouTube for additional learning
Once you get so close to your paint you have see every little detail. I have stone chips from underneath the front spoiler to top of the roof and on the doors. They weren't there before i started looking.
What was the price difference between the Meguiar's bucket and the non branded equivalent? Here the fancy ones are 5X more

I didn’t really have an opportunity before this to do the polishing
I didn’t look at non branded buckets/grit guards as I wanted it next day I just went to Halfords
