Hi all. I've just bought a 61 plate 2.0 tdi bluemotion scirocco. Love the car, but just a couple of things on not sure on with the radio. First of all there is a phone button on the radio, but I can't see any qya if connecting my phone as I would like to use it to play music through bluetooth. Second the media port that is under the arm rest, what cable do I need to get on order to play my ipod and control through the radio and also my phone.

Thanks

Although the headunit and steering wheel have a phone button it doesn't necessarily mean your car has Bluetooth. It only became standard in late 2011 and up until then it was a cost option. If it has Bluetooth, there will be a module located in a polystyrene box under the driver's seat (RHD) and a phone menu on the MFD between the speedo and rev counter. If you do a BT search on your phone the BT module, if fitted, comes up as "VW PHONE"

When the car is new it comes with 2 cables for the media in. One has a USB socket and the other has a old style iPod connector.

Thanks for info. No box under seat, so not bluetooth enables. Shame really.

Would it be worth trying to buy one and fitting it?

I guess it depends on how important it is to you. If you have a quick search on the forum you'll find all the information on retro-fitting.
