Recommendations on car diagnostic devices

Post by ARH92 »

Hi, I'm looking for some recommendations on good car diagnostic tools for the Scirocco. I've spent some time searching and getting nowhere. I've seen the Ross Tech stuff out there but I cant really justify spending North of £200 on something i'm only going to use a few times. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just a device that can read codes and clear them. My car is a 16 plate 2.0 TDI. The emissions control lamp has been coming on the car for a couple of weeks now. I took it to my local VW dealer and turns out it was a loose glow plug lead! Must have been like that since factory. So, if I had a code reader I could have sorted that out myself.
