URGENT NEED FOR 19" LUGANO ALLOY

Post by lewisheywood »

So Milton Keynes potholes have finally been the death of my alloy.

Cracked and buckled beyond repair. Anybody selling or know someone selling a single 19" Lugano alloy ?

Thanks in advance, Lewis ImageImage

There are single ones being sold on eBay, looking around £250-£300. You won’t do that again in a hurry.

I've only been able to find one person selling any near me and he has not got back to me on a buy it now , auction runs for 3 days still

I certainly won't, was in the dark on the inside lane of a roundabout so by the time I saw it was too late [emoji24] hit one on the same road the week before as well.

Going to try to claim the damage but I'm doubtful, the one time my dashcam SD card is full

Presumably you've already taken a look at the claims advice on websites such as the AA, the Gov.uk site, Potholes.co.uk etc?

I have yes, just need to measure the pothole and get a few better pictures and then I will be able to send off my claim.

Whilst I have (so far) been lucky enough to avoid such serious damage, we've got a fair few potholes down in Cornwall. I'm sure that all of us members would be keen to learn if you are successful with your claim, or the defence tactics used against you.

Good hunting !

Will keep this post updated mate,

As roads are dead Sunday we are going down to get photos and measure the thing , I have sent off a freedom of information act email requesting reports and inspections of the road etc.

Then it is going in the garage on Thursday where I will get the damage in writing.

Trying to do it all properly as it looks like this one pothole is going to cost me north of £600
