Boot opening mechanism P/N and where to buy

Hi learned owners

My boot opening mechanism is shot on my 61 plate Tdi, the powered unit that clicks open when you hold the button on the key.

I think the part no is 1K8 827 505B but I think this may have been superceded by a newer part. Can any one confirm of this is the correct part and a good place to get one?

Based on the website below, the part you have quoted is the latest part.

It's an OEM part so TPS or Dealer are probably best places to buy, if you are located in the UK.

When ever I need a part number I just call any VW garage and speak to their part department. They take your reg and you tell them what part your looking for and ask for the part number and price, then go look for it cheaper else where!
