one of my sensors is faulty and the sensor is triggering the alarm all the time, can i just take the fuse out and stop it from making the noise, simple as that right?... the lights probably keep going off and i rather keep that on

If it's definitely the interior sensor you could just push the button on B pillar as you leave the car to disable them.
Otherwise, yes you could just pull the fuse.
If you double click the fob when you lock I'm sure that also disables the alarm along with the deadlocks.

Re: Alarm going off...
long story for another post... but to cut it short ... the bonnet sensor has failed and it's going to trigger the alarm from the wind all the time i reckon it's already gone off twice...
i hope a double click of the fob don't disable the alarm lol... i do that all the time

Unplug the sensor? Are there just two wires? If there's more than 2 wires I can't help. If two wires then it's either healthy when open circuit or when closed circuit. Try leaving it unplugged, if it's healthy open circuit then unplugged will be healthy. If that doesn't work then it's healthy closed circuit. So you need to bridge the wires. Make a loop of wire with two terminals to match the plug terminals and jump across the plug. Or cut the plug off 3 or 4 inches from the plug and solder the wires together and insulate. When you get the sensor fixed the 3 inches of wire will let you reattach the plug.TriGGER wrote:long story for another post... but to cut it short ... the bonnet sensor has failed and it's going to trigger the alarm from the wind all the time i reckon it's already gone off twice...
Won't help if you're not practically inclined but you may have a mate who is.

Re: Alarm going off...
It's alright now I think the algorithm basically cancelled it off. Though I do get the constant bing. Atleast it'll get sorted by Monday if VW carry out the repair they promised having fucked it up in the first place. I'll be posting my experience of them soon
Re: Alarm going off...
did you ever get this sorted as I have same fault and vw could not fix it. Its been on going for years.

Re: Alarm going off...
Ahh, man this was all down to the bonnet latch having gone. I took out the fuse and stopped the alarm.
The stupid bonnet latch had gone ever since it had gone into the VW garage. I was ready to argued the toss with the garage for cocking it up because they tried to blame it on me. I told them the last time the bonnet was even opened was when VW opened it up they replaced it without much of a fight. That particular garage I've always ended up with problems after having gone to it.
They replaced it and the alarm was gone.
These young kids they probably have in the garage must be slamming the bonnet's done - my assumption anyway.
