iPhone connectivity stopped working

iPhone connectivity stopped working
So I've had a few problems with my IPhone connecting to my car but recently it's actually stopped recognising that my phone is connected at all. If I click on media it says 'no medium available' and the same applies for my Aux port. I have an iPhone 7 but I'd be willing to get a Bluetooth kit or something similar if that would solve the problem, does anyone have any ideas?

I've had this same problem since I've had my car (April this year) no ones been able to help Me, think mine is a head unit issue
