new-ish owner - possible gearbox/clutch issues

Post by chrisgunton »

Hi there,

I picked up a 2009, 2l DSG model late last year. I've not had an auto before, but loving the DSG. However I've had a couple of odd experiences that make me worry.

1. A sort of muffled "bang" while driving. Once while at speed but accelerating, and another while just cruising out of a car park. It felt like a slight dip in power and then back to normal with the bang.
2. This morning while driving slow in traffic the engine developed a steady fast throb as if I was driving over a rumble strip. A little blip on the throttle once the traffic was moving and everything was ok again.

Thoughts?
