New brake pads and discs 2009 2.0 tsi

Post by Bigtong »

Hi guys

Got a warning light for my brake pads, there's no metal on metal squealing sound yet but they deffo need doing.

My discs have got a lip on and have done for past two MOTs looking at the history so gonna get them done aswell.

Anybody recommend any discs/pads to order from Euro parts, I quite fancy getting some vented discs.

Also considering doing them myself has anybody changed their discs and pads on their Rocco before and is it an easy job or am I best off just buying the parts and taking it to a garage? Not sure how much they'd charge for just the labour either [emoji849]

Cheers
Rob

Front discs are 312mm, rear discs are 256mm. The front discs are vented as standard.

I think you may be mistaking vented with drilled / grooved. If you want drilled / grooved, have a look at Mtec.

It's an easy job DIY but you will need a piston wind back tool for the rears.

OEM parts from TPS are not too expensive.

Forgot to reply to this but thanks for the sizes dude!

Managed (just about) to change all the discs and pads yesterday successfully!

Took a while but got there in the end, quite a few bolts rusted in place :P
