Hi
I have a 2008 2.0 tsi Scirocco, the last couple of months the exhaust has been louder at higher revs. I have now discovered that the clamp between the compressor housing and the exhaust side of the turbo has split.
My mechanic has tried to get a replacement clamp from VW but they dont stock the part(they suggested replacing the whole turbo), he has also contacted the turbo manufacturer but has not yet heard anything back.
Do you know of anywhere that may stock this part? I have found IHI V clamps for other turbos online, but nothing for the Scirocco. Even a second hand part from a turbo that is blown would be better than nothing.
Thanks for any help
Dave

I know a bit of a thread resurrection but my Scirocco has just gone into my local garage and have been told the same thing. Any help would be appreciated

I'd contact a local turbo specialist/reburb place and see if they can source oneJames1991 wrote:I know a bit of a thread resurrection but my Scirocco has just gone into my local garage and have been told the same thing. Any help would be appreciated

My Rocco has just had the same issue, how did you resolve this and what was the dreaded cost attached to fixing it?!
