Noise on pulling away

Post by Dan9279 »

Hi all I have a 2011 1.4 tsi and lately my car has started making a squeaking/scraping noise when pulling away, it doesn't happen every time maybe every few days

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated, just to add my car got new gear box bearings last year wondering if related to that thanks

It could be surface rust on the discs which build up after a couple of days and can be noisy until it cleans off with braking.

Another option is that one of the brakes, probably the rear is binding.
