I was staying at my girlfriend’s house in Swindon (Walcot) last night. Decided to look out of the window at 11:30pm and saw some guy trying to break into my car with a crowbar!
I rushed outside to confront him. As soon as he heard the front door open he started to walk away. He said he was just looking through the window…
Upon closer inspection, the rubber trim in the top left corner of the driver’s side window has been bent up a little bit. But no major damage.
So glad I caught him when I did, don’t really feel safe leaving my car there now. Phoned 101 to report the incident, as I was worried he would target other people’s cars too.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this before? Is there anything I can do to prevent this in the future?
Someone tried breaking into my Scirocco!

Thanks. Yeah, especially with frameless car doors!Technane wrote:Erk not good, I was reading the other day how these can be quite easy to get into, concerning indeed

I didn't fancy leaving my car for the rest of the night. After phoning the police, I decided to drive back to my house near Salisbury.
