tyre pressure for 1.4tsi 122bhp model

Post by moose185 »

Hi there,

I own a 1.4tsi 122bhp model, I was wondering what is the tyre pressure for this model with only having one person driving the car. I have the 18 inch interlago wheels.

I usually fill my tyres up for 34psi but have no idea if this is correct? can anyone advise me?

Thanks.

There is a sticker on the inside of the fuel flap with the recommended pressures.

34 psi is reasonable.

I don't understand the sticker, it says 38psi with 4 passengers. what do people fill their tyres with? there is no clear answer?

The sticker also gives a value for a lighter load too. It's only a recommendation. If the car feels OK with 34psi, stick with that otherwise a bit of trial and error to see what suits you best.

There is a clear answer
It's right infront of your face.

You will have something like this

Anywhere between the higher and lower brackets is fine.

As you asked, I fill my tyres with air.

However if you run Vredstein tyres they recommend you run 1-2 psi above the car manufacturers recommendation.

I have Vredstein Ultrac Vorti (235/35R19) and run 40 front and 37 back.
