None functioning steering wheel buttons, no horn and air bag warning light has come on.
Assuming this is a slip ring fault.
The car ran out of it 3 year manufacturing warranty in September but luckily I did take out the comprehensive component extended warranty with VW with the £100 excess.
So if it is the slip ring is this classed as a wear part or should I be covered bar the excess.

It might not be the slip ring, could also be the steering wheel controller. Either way, I would say the warranty should cover it.
