MDI iPod problem

Post by tim84s »

Hello,

I've installed the MDI box, have it for a year and a half now, tucked away in the space above the glovebox under the airbag (easier to install instead of running it to the armrest). Most of the time I've got the iPod playing instead of the radio, and because I've got a lot of music I just let it play tracks alphabetically. Lately it happens more and more often, when I start the car, the iPod forgot what track it was playing the last time, and it restarts from the very first song. Anybody has an idea where the problem lies?

Greetz,
Tim

mine does the same thing, and as its a brand new iPhone 6S I can pretty much guarantee its not the battery.

Seems to be linked to how long you have the device unplugged for. In mine if I plug the iPhone back in later that same day, it remembers where I left off. But in the morning it completely forgets and starts from the first song.

Its annoying but not so much that I've looked into resolving it.

I'm also on the most up to date firmware for my MDI

I bought a brand new iPod classic the day I installed the MDI box. So pretty sure it has no battery issues. And it stays plugged in all the time, only take it out to update it with new music I've bought..
Firmware for the MDI, didn't know about that? How do I check, and if needed how to update?

How did you apply the update? Through vcds? Never did anything alike before.. Where did you get the new firmware?

The instructions are on my other post

Just do a search for firmware and you should get everything you need

You don't need vcds
