AUX and Bluetooth problem

Post by langl3y10 »

Hi Guys,

Have recently started to use the AUX port in my car, until now bluetooth has worked fine, but now when i plug in a cable and bluetooth is switched on music will not play from my phone.

Just wondered if there was anything that i am doing wrong here as it would be nice to have bluetooth still working while listening to music at the same time.

Appreciate thoughts.

Thanks

Why not just play the music from your phone using Bluetooth?

Tried the above, but didn't really give me what i was looking for. Does anyone know the reason why I'm not able to have bluetooth running at the same time as using the AUX port?

Thanks

Probably cos one overrides the other maybe?!?! It could be a protocol thing.
I always use my bluetooth connection, never bothered with AUX - it's a bit 1999 ;)

That could be true, but i find that running music through bluetooth doesn't have be greatest of sound quality. (Unless i need to adjust settings) Does anyone know if there is a solution for this or not? :(

That's interesting... My bluetooth sound quality has always been good... Well, for me anyway. I know for a period, I only got Mono sound out of it, but I think when I changed my RCD - RNS, it improved... I think that was my solution, I could be wrong

When playing music through bluetooth, it just sounds as though there car is in a drain, a bit frustrating to be honest.

A bit lost in what to do or try.

Realised last night that the problem was the cable, tried a better high quality cable from another car and it all worked fine. Bluetooth and aux does work together.

Thanks
