Got a little intake issue today... Anyone got any idea if this part is as it should? It seems to pop out wayyy to easy and im sure it will pop out again pretty soon.. Will i need to buy the whole intake manifold just to replace that little plastic piece if its broken or damaged?

That would be your intake manifold runner flap arm. A very very common failure part on 2.0 TSI intake manifolds.
They pop out a lot, no real VW solution other that revised intake manifolds may reduce the problem. There are third party things you can get to stop them popping out, replacing the arm and some bits.
Check out humble mechanics vid here for full details on the problem: (jump to 2:50 to see the same arm popped out)

Thank you so much for the fast reply!
Any links or hints to where to find these third party things to stop it popping out?

Thanks so much! It popped out again on a slow and short drive to work today so something has to be done about it i guess.blower wrote:This is the only one i know of (US company) - might be others out there though.

Have a look at this thread that's active under tech talk: http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... 25&t=20099" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
A guy there had the same issue and fixed his with some glue.

Managed to fix it with glue. Seems to work as it should for now! Will replace the whole intake manifold at a later stage just to make sure. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)
